about

Greetings all, Vol. 4 of Meeting Of The Minds is here, with 4 brand new collaborations I've done with various producers in the modern jungle scene.

The first collab on Vol. 4 is with Pete Cannon, who, you may already know from his releases on his label N4 Records, as well as various releases & remixes he's done for Sound Entity, Parallax & Kniteforce. When he was sending clips over of potential tracks to work out, "You're The One" was by far the standout and I was interested in getting involved on that one.

Ricky Force is a producer that I've been a long time fan of, the way he's able to bring an updated style to the oldskool jungle formula is like no other & I was quite keen on making sure that I was able to get a collab with him on Meeting Of The Minds, since I've never worked with him before and have been wanting to do so. "The Craft" is the result of various back & forth sessions of parts & samples & sounds over the year and it may have been the most complex collaboration to produce out of all the tunes so far in this series, but it was worth it for all the intricacies we managed to implement and for the overall journey built within the tune.

I'm a huge fan of the hardcore 4x4 style that Response & Pliskin have been pushing in their music over the past few years, with tunes like Plastic Face, Stabland, Persection, Anima Morta & more being really good examples of that. It was really fun working on "For The Headstrong" with Response & I haven't been able to bring this style onto any Future Retro London releases, so I'm glad to have finally been able to.

Sydenham Knights is a producer whom most people may know for making other styles of music as Boy 8-Bit, but I'd previously collaborated with him in the past on a tune called "Open Up The Trunk" which came out on Phat Bubba Records. Since then, we've kept in touch regularly and I'd been meaning to work on another track with him, which led to "Lifeforms" being made. I think this tune is probably one of my favourite Future Retro London tunes to DJ with, it's really fun for me to mix and I've been playing it a lot in sets leading up to this release.
