about

Hi everyone, Tim here again with “Meeting Of The Minds” Volume 2. To repeat the explanation from Volume 1, “Meeting Of The Minds” is a series of 4 track EPs consisting of tunes I've made in collaboration with various producers of the modern jungle scene.

FFF has been responsible for some of my favourite tunes from this current wave of jungle, tunes like “Cut Bwoy” on his 3AM Eternal label, “One For One” which was on his release on the Dubcore series, “Gaze Out” on Diamond Life, “Evolved As One” on 7th Storey Projects, I could keep going and going... But anyway, it was a pleasure to work on “World Championships” with him.

Usually when I hear tunes from Worldwide Epidemic, they're usually on a more stompy jungle techno vibe, like "Pulse 33" on his Quantum Projects label or our track "Z Maze" on 7th Storey Projects, but for "Losing Control", we went for the straight up jungle style.

If anyone knows about Mr Sensi, you'll know that he is capable of some exceptional music… on the rare occasions that he ever finishes any of it! I've got a folder dedicated to unfinished Mr Sensi clips that he's sent me over the years we've been chatting, and there's over 200+ files in there. Thankfully, he had this tune entitled “Lost City” ready for me to work on. Let's all hope this release will inspire some solo material from him in the future, haha.

Jahganaut is a name that was quite new to me before this project. I didn’t really know much about his music, but I had heard his name from a few people who mentioned he had some solid releases in the pipeline. When I met him while playing in Leeds and heard Coco Bryce play a tune of his forthcoming on Myor Massiv, I knew that it would be worth working with him at some point in the future. Of all the producers I messaged about this project, he was actually the first one to get back to me, and the first one to send a tune to work on: that led to “The Suppressed” being made.

As with Vol. 1, this release will only be available for sale from the Future Retro London Bandcamp page. It's been mastered by Simon @ The Exchange, pressed at Record Industry in Netherlands and will come in a custom house sleeve design.

Big thanks to all the producers involved in helping to make this release a reality, to all the other record label owners who have advised me in the process, and to all people out there supporting the modern day jungle sound.
